 JACQUELINE BARBA

Jackie Barba is a student at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, studying Journalism. In her first year at UIUC, she wrote for the Daily Illini, Illinois Student Newsroom, and her classes. She also worked as the Social Media Intern for radio station WPGU News, and as a New Voices Intern at the College of Media. In addition to these activities, she also works as a grader for the Intro to Journalism classes, giving feedback and guidance to new journalism students. 

In her free time, Barba finds continued motivation in her love of travel.  Additionally, Barba is fond of learning new languages, immersing herself in different cultures, wandering through bookstores and taking road trips.

 On this site is the culmination of her writing and other journalism related achievements and initiatives that helped shape her as a writer and staff member.
